Chapter 1 My Journey is the Sea of Stars 03
The busy first day of school passed quickly, and the weekend movie viewing event arrived as scheduled.
The movie viewing started at 7:30. Jiaomei and I agreed to meet at the "Meet" cafe at 6 o'clock, and then go to the movie viewing site.
As the lights come on, the neon lights are dazzling. The lights shine on the road, refracting layers of beautiful halos, which makes people happy.
I took small steps, humming light music, on the way to "meet".
Just as I was about to turn the corner and walk into the alley of the "Meet" coffee shop, I was attracted by the scene in front of me. Two girls seemed to be discussing something furtively, looking forward from time to time; sometimes they took small steps forward, and sometimes they stayed where they were and pretended to look around.
I seem to have seen such a scene in a TV series.
Are they following?
I couldn't help but shudder, and a strong curiosity attracted me. Just when I followed to the corner of the alley, the familiar figure in front of me made my pupils widen instantly!
It’s Ju Chenxi again!
God must be playing jokes on me. I have to meet this guy!
I stared expressionlessly at the two girls in front of me and my enemy, Ju Chenxi, whom I called the "back killer". The girls were getting closer and closer to Ju Chenxi, and their mumbling voices and movements seemed to startle Ju Chenxi.
He stopped moving forward, turned around abruptly, and stared at the two girls who were following him with a look that was so sharp that it could swallow a person alive.
I have seen such scenes before. If I come out to seek justice again, wouldn’t I be courting death? So I hid by the wall and secretly watched what happened next.
God, please forgive my cowardice at this moment. I fold my hands and pray that God can forgive my cowardice. After all, I really don’t dare to provoke that guy again!
"Is it fun to follow me like this?" Ju Chenxi asked sternly with his hands on his shoulders.
"You misunderstood . We didn't follow you on purpose." One of the tall girls who seemed a little braver and more domineering explained.
"If it's not intentional , then it's intentional?" Ju Chenxi asked aggressively.
"No. Hey, Xiaoqian, you talk to him yourself." After saying that, the tall girl pulled the short and somewhat shy girl next to her, signaling her to speak first.
"Yes, I'm sorry, Ju Chenxi, actually I, I like you, and I just wanted to tell you, but I didn't have the courage, so I followed you here." The short girl confessed hesitantly, her face blushing, and she kept looking at Ju Chenxi with pitiful eyes, as if she was looking forward to his reaction.
Another girl confessed her love to him. This Ju Chenxi, such a cold and hateful guy, actually has so many girls obsessed with him! It's really sinful! However, judging by the situation, this girl might be rejected again.
"Haha, go back and stop doing these stupid things." Sure enough, it was another cruel rejection.
Just as Ju Chenxi was about to turn around and leave, the short girl, with help from some unknown source, rushed forward and grabbed Ju Chenxi's arm. She cried out in a hysterical voice:
"Why? Why do you always reject girls' confessions? Is there no exception?"
The short girl asked a very good question. In fact, although I had a previous conflict with that guy, I was also curious about his answer.
Ju Chenxi was stunned for a while, his face was a little complicated. There were too many things hidden in his eyes that others could not touch, mysterious and full of stories. After nearly 30 seconds of distraction and silence, he gently pushed the short girl's hand away.
"Don't ask about these meaningless things." After saying that, he turned around and left without looking back, leaving the short girl with tears on her face and a look of surprise.
Who exactly is Ju Chenxi?
Indifferent? Reject all confessions?
An arrogant genius?
Perhaps it was because I had run into him so many times that I actually began to pay attention to this guy. In a small corner of my heart, I had already begun to have a deep impression of this guy.
"Jiaomei, you're finally here! I've been waiting for you for so long!" In the "Meet" coffee bar, I ordered myself a cup of matcha-flavored milk tea and waited for Jiaomei to show up. As soon as she arrived, I complained about her late arrival.
"I'm sorry, Xiaole, I suddenly had a stomachache just now and had to squat in the toilet for a long time." She stuck out her tongue at me, looking apologetic.
"Okay, let's order some drinks, we'll be leaving for the cinema soon." I asked Jiaomei to sit down, and while we were chatting, I recreated the scene of meeting Ju Chenxi just now with Jiaomei.
"What? Rejected again?" Jiaomei opened her mouth in surprise, and the straw in her mouth fell onto the table in fear.
"That's right, that guy still looks very indifferent." The stern face of Ju Chenxi appeared in my mind from time to time.
"How about I confess to him next time? I really want to talk to him in person."
Oh my god, Jiaomei's first reaction was not to sympathize with the rejected girl, but to indirectly praise Ju Chenxi as a charming and cold male god.
"Hey, Jiaomei, you don't have to be such a fangirl, do you?" I expressed helplessness.
"Xiao Le, Ju Chenxi is really extraordinary, do you know that? In every exam he takes, whether it is a professional course or an open course, he always ranks first in the grade, and his total score is 100 points higher than the second place. Not only that, he is also very good at art. Oh, by the way, I heard that he plays the guitar very well and can charm a lot of girls. In short, he is a magical existence, a first-class genius!"
Among Jiaomei's series of compliments, I only paid attention to one point, that is, Ju Chenxi can play the guitar!
"Can he play guitar?" I asked again half-doubtfully. I don't know what force it was, but when I heard the word "guitar", I felt like I was electrocuted. I couldn't help but think of the lucky item lying in my bedside table - a small four-string guitar. Maybe because of this, I am particularly sensitive to guitars!
"Yes, and he can play many different styles, whether it's folk or jazz, he can play them all! Otherwise, how could I bow down to him? It is no exaggeration to say that he is the only all-round genius in our school!" Jiaomei became more and more excited as she spoke, and she was about to fly.
It turns out that Ju Chenxi is such an all-round talent, but compared to his excellent academic performance, what attracted me most was his guitar playing. I have already silently given him a thumbs up in my heart.
"What time is it, Xiaole?" Just as I was immersed in my imagination of Ju Chenxi playing the guitar, she patted me charmingly.
"It's 7:25. Oh no! Movie viewing. Let's go!"
The moment my eyes met Jiaomei's, we both picked up our takeaway tea and ran to the cinema at lightning speed .
