Chapter 052 Influence

April 28, 2019.
Huge amounts of money.
Strict management.
A gradually improving industrial chain.
Coupled with the powerful technology of Sapiens.
The cities in southern Luzon Island have begun to show obvious changes, and these changes are not only reflected in residents' income, but more importantly in the improvement of their spirit.
Engineering projects such as road construction, house building, and bridge construction have been madly absorbing local labor, causing cities and rural areas that already have a surplus of labor to have a large number of workers siphoned off by these projects.
If only income increases, it is actually of no use to the local economy, because money is valuable only when it can buy things.
For example, in China's Lingnan Province, why is it that a large amount of money flows into the Chaoshan area every year through remittances, but the living standards of local people are difficult to improve?
The reason is that the amount of things money can buy has not increased.
Assuming that the local production of materials is 10,000 tons and the total amount of funds held by residents is 100 million yuan, the average price of materials is 10 yuan per kilogram;
But when the total amount of funds held by residents reached 300 million yuan, and the locally produced materials were still 10,000 tons, the average price of the materials naturally became 30 yuan per kilogram.
This is "remittance inflation".
There are only two ways to solve this special kind of inflation. One is to increase local material production, and the other is to increase material imports.
After the rise of Internet shopping, Chaoshan region was able to alleviate some of the high prices caused by the shortage of local materials through online shopping.
However, the southern region of Luzon Island is taking a two-pronged approach at this time.
While expanding the import volume of materials, the House of Plenty has also worked with Haitian Agriculture to increase local material production. In addition, with the improvement of infrastructure, the losses in transportation and warehousing have been greatly reduced.
For example, the mangosteens sold by Fengrao Supermarket before were not sold well due to the difficult transportation roads and the inadequate preservation technology. Even if the mangosteens were produced in the surrounding areas, the price was still very high.
Now the roads have been widened and extended to various towns and villages. This infrastructure upgrade has brought about a reduction in transportation costs.
Of course, Coral Construction Company will not do business at a loss. These new roads are toll roads, and unless the vehicles are from sister companies, they have to pay the tolls obediently.
Homo Sapiens has invested in so many roads, but they are not for free use by everyone. Otherwise, other competitors can also use these infrastructures for free, which would be aiding the enemy.
South of Lima.
A gas filling station in the suburbs.
Many people were waiting in line, but the gas station was a little unusual today as employees of Emerald Energy were selling new gas cylinders and gas stoves to users.
Lu Min, who runs a Chinese restaurant in the city, pays a lot of gas every month. He holds the flyer with a troubled look on his face.
If he switched to methane, it would indeed be cheaper than coal gas, but he would have to replace the gas stove and gas cylinder, which made him a little hesitant.
However, Limanan's economy has been developing rapidly recently, and the customer flow of his Chinese restaurant has increased by nearly 20% to 30%. Naturally, the gas consumption has increased. After thinking about it for more than ten minutes, he finally made up his mind.
According to Jade Energy, under the same heat conditions, the price of methane gas is only about 60% of coal gas. If he is worried about price increases, he can sign a long-term gas supply contract.
Lu Min signed a one-year contract, and then the staff brought gas cylinders and gas stoves and followed him back to the restaurant to renovate the gas stove.
Those who make the same choice as Lu Min are large gas users, such as restaurants, small workshops, slaughterhouses, food stores, etc.
When Lu Min's wife, who is a local, heard that they had to replace the gas stove with a new one, she became angry and cursed, but the contract had already been signed, so she could only accept it.
The staff installed the gas stove and turned on the gas valve. A light blue flame came out from the stove. He then explained in detail:
"Boss Lu, the methane gas stove and gas cylinder are specially equipped, so don't just connect them casually . Also, if you lose the gas cylinder, a new 30-kilogram gas cylinder will cost 1,200 pesos."
"What gas cylinder? Why is it so expensive? Your company is not cheating us, right?" Lu Min's wife immediately questioned.
The staff member was not angry, but shrugged and smiled: "Methane gas is different from coal gas. Ordinary gas cylinders cannot hold too much methane."
Methane cylinders are indeed different from ordinary gas cylinders, because methane is difficult to compress into liquid form at room temperature. If you insist on filling methane into a gas cylinder, you can only fill it with methane in gaseous form, or the gas cylinder will burst.
The methane gas cylinder developed by Jade Energy uses crystal sponge as the inner liner, plus a sound insulation and shock isolation layer and a steel shell, as well as an internal sound wave generator, allowing the gas storage liner to continuously release the stored methane.
The sound wave generator can use dry batteries or be plugged in, and the energy consumption is very low.
This type of gas cylinder is very safe. If the sonic wave generator is not started, the gas cylinder will not deflate even if the valve of the gas stove is opened. The switch of the sonic wave generator needs to be pressed to release methane.
Even if an accident occurs and causes deflagration and explosion, the temperature sensor of this gas cylinder will automatically cut off the sound wave generator once it senses that the temperature of the bottle body exceeds the warning value, preventing methane from continuing to be released.
This is also the reason why methane cylinders are relatively expensive.
Jade Energy promotes methane gas in major cities naturally because methane plants have been put into operation. Currently, three methane plants have been put into operation and seven more are under construction.
One of the methane plants is located near the south city of Lima. Its annual methane production is about 40 to 50 million cubic meters, and there is still room for further upgrading and transformation.
The raw materials for the methane plant are domestic waste, discarded plastics, dead branches and leaves, waste residues and liquids from food factories, starch and sugar, etc.
Generally speaking, starch and sugar are not used as raw materials for gas production.
Instead, the main raw materials for methane plants are the dead branches and leaves from plantations, the waste residues and liquids from food processing, and the organic waste in daily life.
For example, the Lima South Methane Plant currently uses 12-16% domestic organic waste, 5-8% waste plastics, 21-30% waste residues and waste liquids from production companies, 35-50% dead branches and leaves from plantations, and 10-15% trimmed grass and leaves from forest farms as raw materials for gas production.
Basically, the fermentation tanks of the methane plant are operating at full capacity, and even if the methane produced cannot be sold, it can be stored.
Of course, if there are sufficient raw materials, the wood and plastic in the garbage will not be used to ferment methane, but will be used as reserve raw materials.
Starch and sugar are raw materials that are only used in emergencies as a last resort.
Currently, by replacing coal gas with methane, Emerald Energy's gas production costs have dropped by about 86%. Previously, it was necessary to import coal from Australia to make gas, but now it can gradually reduce coal imports.
However, as the price of coal is still relatively cheap, Jade Energy did not stop importing it, but simply stored the remaining coal in several small coal mines near the port.
When it comes to resources, of course we should use imported ones as long as the price is right.
Anyway, coal will not expire, and the US dollar is often inflated, so it is safer to convert the US dollars into resources and hoard them.
Those who have a lot of US dollars in savings are the real suckers.
In the event of a conflict with America, a ban from the other side could prevent you from spending the US dollars you have.
What is the difference between money that cannot be spent and waste paper? It is even worse than waste paper, which can be recycled.
