Chapter 02 Not every child who tells a lie will grow a long nose 5
Yao Haiyan's father was Chi Yanze's father's personal secretary, and her mother was their housekeeper. Mr. Chi gave them a room downstairs in the villa. Yao's father said that they had their own room outside, but because of work reasons, they often lived in Chi's house.
Yao Haiyan's father always followed Mr. Chi. Whenever Mr. Chi came back, he would come back too. Whenever Mr. Chi went out to do things, he would follow him. And Yao's mother was responsible for managing all the affairs of the Chi family.
I've been here for two days, and I haven't seen Chi Yanze's mother.
Upon asking, I found out that when Chi Yanze was still very young, his parents divorced, apparently because of their incompatibility in personality.
Yao's mother had to arrange for Chi Yanze and the others to finish their meal before they could go home, so I went home first. Yao's father had also arrived home, and when he saw me come back, he warmly invited me to have dinner.
Compared to Yao's mother who always has a stern face, I still like Yao's father more. Although this is the second time I have met him, he always has a kind smile on his face, which makes people feel very friendly.
"Qiqi, come and eat."
There was no one else here, so Mr. Yao called me by my real name.
I don’t know why, but after only two days, everyone around me called me Yao Haiyan. Suddenly, when I heard others calling me Qiqi, I actually felt a little sour in my nose.
When I was a kid, every time I came home after playing with other kids, my dad would sit at the dining table like Mr. Yao does now, wave at me with a smile, and say, "Qiqi, come and eat."
Later they left and I lived with my aunt. My aunt was often not at home and she couldn't cook for herself, let alone for me. I could only cook for myself, but even so, my aunt was still pretty good to me.
Apart from her love of playing cards, she is not as virtuous as other women. Every time she sees someone bullying me, she will stand up for me.
If she had money, she would buy me delicious food and new clothes... "Qiqi?"
Seeing that I didn't respond, Father Yao called me worriedly. I immediately came back to my senses from my sad thoughts and ran towards him with a smile.
Mr. Yao loves to talk. He chatted with me about gossip while we were eating. When he saw that my neck was twisted, he specially changed my pillow to a soft one.
The atmosphere was originally good, but as soon as Yao's mother came back, Yao's father and I consciously stopped talking.
Mother Yao's aura is so strong that even Father Yao is afraid of her.
"Ruo Qiqi, come here, I have something to ask you."
As soon as I entered the door, Mother Yao's eyes fell on me who was doing homework. She waved at me and said expressionlessly.
"You eat first and we can talk after that. The child is doing homework now!" Father Yao poked his head out from behind the newspaper and said to Mother Yao.
Mother Yao glared at him fiercely and walked into the bedroom.
I sighed helplessly and followed reluctantly.
Oh, I knew I would have to do my ideological report again.
"The young master talked to you, didn't he?" asked Mother Yao.
A gust of cold wind whistled past, and I shrank my neck. I wanted to nod, but found that I couldn't twist my neck. I could only answer out loud: "Well, sometimes he doesn't say a word to me, and sometimes he says a few words."
"Have you started talking to other people like this? Are you less withdrawn? Will you take the initiative to approach others..."
She asked several questions in a row and I didn't know which one to answer first.
"I can only see him in the morning and evening, and we are not in the same class. It is impossible for me to pay attention to what he does all day long!" I said with a frown.
As soon as I finished speaking, a look of astonishment suddenly appeared on Yao's mother's face. She asked me in surprise, "You said you and the young master are not in the same class? How could this be? The teacher clearly asked you to transfer to their class."
"Ah?" I was shocked. "No way, on my first day at the Academic Affairs Office, the teacher found out that my name was Yao Haiyan and brought me to my current class. Could it be that Chi Yanze's father made the wrong class ?"
"How could that be? Sir, you are always very strict in your work."
Mother Yao muttered in confusion.
I rolled my eyes at the ceiling. Even the smartest people can make mistakes sometimes, so it's normal to get things like this wrong.
After the report, Mother Yao asked me to go out first while she continued to think about what went wrong.
After I got out, I borrowed a cell phone from Mr. Yao and called my aunt. I wanted to let her know I was safe, but she didn't answer. I guess she left her cell phone behind and went out to play cards.
I hung up the phone in disappointment, smiled at the confused Mr. Yao, and walked into the small room they had separated for Yao Haiyan in a sullen manner.
Although I had the injection, I still felt a little uncomfortable, so I went to bed early.
The room was small, with only room for a single bed and a small desk. I curled up in this small space, thinking about random things.
The bed was still warm, but I felt inexplicably sad.
I've only been here for two days and I already want to go home.
In the past, when my aunt left me alone to go out and play for several days, I wouldn’t miss her. But now that I’m out on my own, I miss her especially.
Before I knew it, I fell asleep with tears in my eyes.
I seemed to have a dream. In the dream, I saw my parents again. They were standing in the yard of my house.
They were still as young as before, stretching out their arms, smiling and shouting, "Qiqi, come, come to mom and dad."
My heart ached and I wanted to rush towards them, but a small figure jumped into their arms before I could, calling "Mom and Dad" sweetly.
That was me as a kid.
I stood there in a daze, watching my parents holding my little hand and walking further and further away.
Suddenly, the whole picture changed, and I was standing alone in a barren field. No matter how hard I looked, I couldn't find my parents. I was left behind.
No one will ever say to me again: "Qiqi, come, come to mom and dad."
I woke up in the middle of the night and cried, my tears soaking the pillow.
