Chapter 0028: Can't Survive Tonight
Cover the coffin with her?
I stood up and looked at Ah Xiang suspiciously, but did not take any action.
"Even now, you still don't believe what I say? If I had known, I shouldn't have saved you and let you be eaten by the old thing!" Ah Xiang was a little angry, and she pushed the heavy coffin lid that fell on the side in a huff.
She was too weak and after gritting her teeth and trying for a long time, she could only push the coffin lid a distance towards the coffin body. She was sweating from exhaustion.
"I can help, but I have a condition." I walked closer to A Xiang and said calmly.
"What conditions?" Ah Xiang stopped and looked at me in surprise.
"Tell me about your relationship with the coffin shop and your purpose tonight."
"Didn't I tell you? My father was the second owner of the coffin shop. He hanged himself here. Today is his memorial day, and I'm here to pay my respects to him." Ah Xiang repeated her previous reasons.
"That's all? What about Wuming?"
Ah Xiang paused for a moment before answering, "His wife was the third owner of the coffin shop, and she was also hanged here. As for his purpose tonight, maybe it's the same as mine, to see his wife."
"Didn't you say that he tricked his wife to death? If he is so heartless, why would he come back?"
"Do you think he wants to come back?" Ah Xiang sneered, "If he doesn't come back to help his wife get rid of her, he can't go anywhere."
"What was his wife's last wish?"
"How would I know?" Ah Xiang said impatiently, "Are you going to help or not? Time is limited. If you delay any longer, this old thing will come back again!"
"I have another question." I was not in a hurry to do anything.
"What?"
"According to what you said, the coffin number corresponds to the boss number. Then the one who just crawled out of the coffin must be Wuming's wife, right?"
"That's right."
"What on earth has become of his wife?"
Ah Xiang glanced at the third coffin and said, "She's very old, very thin, and very ugly. I don't know exactly what she is. Why don't you take a look at her yourself and find out?"
"But she was locked in the coffin by Wuming for many days, and she couldn't stand the hunger anymore, so she hanged herself. Maybe her last wish was to eat Wuming."
Ah Xiang’s teasing smile gave me chills.
"What about your father? Why did he hang himself?"
"You have so many questions. I've said everything I need to say. Will you help me or not?" Ah Xiang frowned, unwilling to answer any more questions.
"Help." I nodded, "You don't have to move. I can do it alone."
Ah Xiang was stunned for a moment, then smiled indifferently and stood aside to watch.
I put my cell phone in my pocket, walked over, pushed the coffin lid hard next to the coffin, then picked it up and closed it.
Coffins are made of solid wood, and the lid alone is extremely heavy. It took me a lot of effort to close the lid.
Because I put my phone in my pocket and the cloth blocked the light, I could not see the monster in the coffin clearly. It looked vaguely like a human, with limbs as thin as bamboo poles, but a belly as big as a frog.
I couldn't help but shudder at the thought that Wuming might be in its stomach.
What kind of deep hatred existed between the couple that caused Wuming to lock him in the shop and let him starve?
The story of every coffin shop owner seems to be complicated.
Ah Xiang must not have told the truth about her father.
Clapping my hands, I returned to the altar and relit the red candles.
Ah Xiang lowered her head and clenched her hands together , as if she was holding something. Her expression could not be seen clearly and it was unknown what she was thinking.
The candle flames flickered, and four coffins stood quietly in the center of the hall. It was dark and uncertain, and it seemed that something might crawl out at any time.
I checked the time again.
There are still 2 hours until dawn.
Although the time was not long, there was always a feeling of darkness before dawn, as if something even more terrifying would happen.
"Fuck, was that a ghost that just crawled out of the coffin?"
"Host, the scenes and details you made this time are too realistic! So fucking scary!"
"Recite the eight-character mantra silently, and kill all the monsters and demons in an instant!"
"Barrage of bullets to protect you!"
There were still quite a few netizens here at this time. Looking at their comments, I couldn't help but smile bitterly. I wish all this was fake.
"Why were there no relatives coming to pay respect to the first coffin?" I spoke to break the silence. I wanted to spend the rest of my time in peace, so it wouldn't hurt to know more.
"Their entire family is dead, what do you think?" Ah Xiang asked back.
"How much do you know about that red coffin? Is the fourth boss alive or dead?"
"Don't you have too many questions?" Ah Xiang looked at me meaningfully, "Don't be too happy too soon. The fun tonight has just begun. That old guy is just an appetizer."
"What?" My heart sank. As expected.
Before I could ask more questions, the dim candlelight suddenly went out and the coffin shop returned to darkness.
In the darkness, it seems that many things are stirring.
"The show is about to begin. You won't survive this night!" Ah Xiang grinned and laughed strangely.
