Part 2 Chapter 46: Invitation from Hongda Group
Actually, the delivery was very strange. Hongda Group actually knew my address and even my last name and Qin Er's last name. But I didn't want to go into it. After all, it was too easy for a group with such a large business to investigate a small character like me. I thought I should go and take a look, because I thought that if this group had any conspiracy, I couldn't hide from it, so I might as well go and see it for myself.
After making the decision, I was ready to leave. However, when I was packing my luggage, I remembered that two people were invited, and I was worried that something might go wrong if I just went there.
After thinking for a long time, I finally called Xu Chuanxiang and promised him a very high commission and asked him to pretend to be Qin Yiheng.
At first he refused, but the price I offered was so attractive that he finally agreed, and we agreed to meet at Hongda Group. Then I went to the airport.
It is actually quite appropriate to ask Xu Chuanxiang to come. Firstly, he has a superficial knowledge of metaphysics, which may be difficult to apply, but should be enough for him to talk to others; secondly, we know each other and know each other well, so I can feel more at ease.
When I arrived at the city where Hongda Group was located, Xu Chuanxiang had already booked a room for me. I didn't rush to find him, but went to the mall to buy a new outfit and get a new haircut.
I had been to the Hongda Group once before, using a different identity because I was worried about being recognized. This time I changed my style completely, so it would not be discovered without careful observation.
When I finally met Xu Chuanxiang, I told him not to talk nonsense and just to be cool. After dinner, we went to bed early to rest.
The next day was the opening day of the bidding.
I woke up very early and went directly to the Hongda Group building with Xu Chuanxiang. I was quite nervous when I got out of the elevator, but fortunately no one recognized me.
This time we went directly to the top floor, entered a conference room and waited for a while. Then a man in a suit came in, did not introduce himself, and directly turned on the projector.
The conference room is not big and is already full. There are quite a few people here. At a glance, there are about a dozen of them.
I quietly looked at these people, all kinds of people, and it was hard to tell what they did. However, I guessed that they might be people in the field of metaphysics. After all, it is difficult to tell who is in this field with the naked eye.
After waiting for a while, the person who was presiding over the meeting coughed lightly to start the meeting, and then played a picture on the projector. When the picture came out, I almost screamed.
Because the photo shows a house, and this house is very familiar to me. It was in the yard of this house that Qin Yiheng and I uncovered the plan of the real dragon in Jiuzi Town.
This is Liuzhi’s villa!
I lowered my head subconsciously, but the people around me didn't notice me. They were all watching the projector seriously.
The photo of the house was not very clear, and it looked like it was scanned from something. However, it was quite complete. The person presiding over the meeting even changed several photos, all of which were panoramic photos of the house from various angles.
After the photos were shown, the person who chaired the meeting spoke. He spoke with a very obvious southern accent, and I couldn't hear him clearly.
He first said that it was presumptuous to invite everyone here, and then said that since everyone had registered in Long Street, he would not beat around the bush.
He said that this house needed someone who knew about it to go and take a look, and he hoped that everyone could go there in person. After the matter was completed, there would be a large commission. If you are interested, the car they arranged was waiting downstairs, and they would leave immediately after this was over; if you are not interested, he also hoped that those who knew about this matter would keep it secret after leaving. After that, he also put an envelope on the table in front of everyone. I opened it and took a look. There was 2,000 yuan inside, which I gave directly to Xu Chuanxiang.
I looked at the others, and they all seemed to be thinking about it, but no one was whispering to each other.
I thought to myself: "Are these people registered in Long Street? Qin Yiheng told me before that there are indeed a group of people in Long Street who are willing to use magic to do things that are harmful to the world. Because their business is not open to the public, they all find employers through Long Street. But why am I included in it?"
Moreover, this person said that there was something wrong with that house. Could it be the matter of the Nine Sons Town Real Dragon? Did they not know that the game had been broken, or did they suddenly find out that the game had been broken and now look for someone to fix it?
Anyway, I'm too lazy to guess, I'm definitely going.
Xu Chuanxiang seemed quite hesitant. I guess he didn't expect that he would actually go to the house. He poked me several times.
I wanted to tell him to be quiet, but when I turned around, I saw him holding a piece of paper under the table and gesturing. I took it and looked at it, and I was a little stunned.
There was a line of words written on the note: See you at the house!
Other than that, there was no signature or stamp, and I didn't know who wrote it. I looked at Xu Chuanxiang's expression, which meant that this note was found in my envelope.
I quickly took the envelope and opened it, but found only RMB inside.
This made me even more confused. I looked at the person who was presiding over the meeting. I didn't recognize him. When he handed out the envelopes just now, he didn't look at me in particular. I thought to myself, "Is this note given randomly? Otherwise, why wasn't it in Xu Chuanxiang's envelope?"
I stared at the note for a long time, trying to figure out whose handwriting it was. To be honest, my first impression was that it was written by Qin Yiheng, but this was not his handwriting. In the end, I could only put the note in my pocket.
I was probably the only one in the meeting room who made such a straightforward decision. The others thought about it for a long time, and several decided to leave. I also took this opportunity to persuade Xu Chuanxiang, telling him that there would be no danger there, and I also gave him a higher commission. Xu Chuanxiang hesitated for a long time before agreeing to go with me.
In the end, only seven or eight people were willing to stay. The person who presided over the meeting took us downstairs, and sure enough, there was an Iveco waiting. After getting in the car, I chose the back seat and began to close my eyes and rest. I didn't want to communicate with other people, because I knew very well that although these people were knowledgeable, none of them were good people. They would do anything for money, so it was better to stay away from them.
Xu Chuanxiang was quite curious about all this and kept asking me questions. I felt like laughing because it reminded me of my past self. However, I had no answers for him because I was also confused by all this.
There were two drivers in the car, working in shifts, driving non-stop. I thought that the person didn't reveal any information during the meeting, and someone would come to explain it in the car, but it turned out that there was no one. However, the treatment along the way was very good, and the food and accommodation were the best in the local area. I looked out the window in the car and always felt that this was ironic. After a long detour, I am back to where the mystery began. I hope that all this can be answered properly.
On the second day, I suddenly realized something was wrong, because we were driving on the highway, and we were not in the same direction as the city where the house of the real dragon in Jiuzi Town was located. At first I thought we had to take a detour for some reason, but the car got farther and farther away from the city. It was not until the second night when we arrived at our destination that I realized it was in another province.
I was very surprised, but I couldn't discuss it with anyone. After all, no one knew that I had been to that house before. I had no choice but to settle down in the hotel and wait for further instructions.
That night, I also slept in a five-star hotel, but I didn't sleep well. The next morning, we continued our journey by car. After driving for another three or four hours, we finally stopped in front of a house.
I was shocked when I got out of the car and took a quick look. This house is so similar to that house, or maybe they are exactly the same.
I looked around and even the general position on the mountain was almost the same.
I thought to myself: "What the hell is going on? Designed by the same designer?" Walking into the courtyard, I found that not only the house was the same, but even the sculptures and decorations in the courtyard were the same.
As I stepped on the ground in the yard, I was wondering if there might be a nine-piece chessboard underneath.
The people who were traveling with me got off the car and started to take out the things in their bags and get busy. I took a quick look and saw that some were holding compasses, some were using mirrors, and some were preparing to burn paper and incense. Anyway, there were all kinds of people, and only Xu Chuanxiang and I were left. In order not to be discovered, I had to pretend to touch the outer wall of the house with my hands.
After working for 30 to 40 minutes, I saw others starting to clean up, so I quickly joined the crowd. I wanted to hear if these people would have any opinions.
As a result, they all seemed to be on guard and no one said much. Some went back to the car to rest, while others stood outside the house looking at the mountains.
Seeing this, I could only ask Xu Chuanxiang what he thought, just to give it a try.
When I asked him a question, he pointed mysteriously in the direction of the car and asked me if there was anyone who hadn't gotten off the bus.
